To visit again a favorite metaphor:
Life is like a sheet of origami paper,
the more you fold, the harder it is to go back,
the further life goes, the harder it is to change like new,
a thin square sheet.
I hope I become so blessedly folded that I eventually tear apart. It would be boring to be a crane or something my whole life.
You know, I do some really rotten things sometimes. Like sitting here.

That's why I like change so much, it keeps me trying new things and keeps me folding, tearing and adding new pieces of paper, the whole bit.
Though I've gotta say I love the closing line of Like Sitting Here. Nicely played.
Thanks. Although I am sitting here again. Dang it...
Probably because of someone like me, because you wanted to see your comments, oh yeah, and the 100 hour board consumes your soul. That too. :)
hi whistler.
sorry you think that you do rotten things. we think you do great things!
in response to your comment responding to my response on your other blog post... i am glad you liked the oozing through people and regeneration. we liked it too. it helped a lot!
also, the comment system should be working now. we are not sure why they were not functional before.
-herb and gary.
by the way, life is indeed like a sheet of origami. especially since after you fold into one shape, and then unfold and try something new, that old shape is still imprinted in you, and you will never be the same again.
ooo, metaphors.
